Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
“VANNZ” means “Virtual Assistant Network New Zealand”.
“Free Facebook Group” means the private Facebook group named “Virtual Assistant Network New Zealand” for all members of the VANNZ (Free, Bronze, Silver and Gold).
“Paid Facebook Group” means the private Facebook group named “The VA Lounge” for Silver and Gold members of the VANNZ.
“Website” refers to the “VANNZ Website”.
“Directory” means the “New Zealand Virtual Assistant Directory”.
“Sub-Contractor Directory” means the internal “Sub-Contractor/Employee Virtual Assistant Directory”.
“Member” means a person or business that has joined the VANNZ (either by joining the the Facebook group and/or is listed on the Directory).
Any reference to “us”, “our” or “we” means VANNZ.
Any reference to “you” or “your” refers to a Member.
By becoming a Member, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time by updating this posting. The revised terms will take effect when they are posted.
Our Role
Our role is to connect New Zealand based business owners, consultants and entrepreneurs with New Zealand based Virtual Assistants and other Freelance Business Support Service Providers.
Membership Tiers
Facebook Group Member: $FREE
Bronze Membership: $30.00 (+GST) per year.
Silver Membership: $100.00 (+GST) per year.
Gold Membership: $260.00 (+GST) per year.

Membership Critera
You must;
Be practising as a Virtual Assistant, Freelance Business Support Provider, member of a Virtual Assistant Agency, or in the process of starting up a Virtual Assistant Business.
Have a New Zealand connection (either based in New Zealand or an ex-pat).
Be kind, respectful and supportive towards other members at all times.
Provide true, complete and accurate information.
Facebook Groups & Memberships
You must;
Not use the Facebook Groups to harass other members.
Not message other members of the Facebook groups without prior permission.
Not use the information provided in the Facebook groups for the purposes of unsolicited or unauthorised advertising.
Not make personal attacks towards members for any reason whatsoever. You are welcome to share an opposing opinion, but please do so with respect.
Not plagiarise any of the content shared in the VANNZ Facebook Groups, VANNZ website, or other online content deemed to be in violation of intellectual property rights.
Keep what’s said in the Facebook Groups private and confidential (unless otherwise agreed upon). The private groups are a safe place for it’s Members to share ideas and get support.
Not share other Members’ opinions or sensitive situations with any other person outside of the groups.
Provide profile head shots of yourself to be listed in the Directory. Logos (or graphics) will not be accepted.
Join the Facebook Groups as your personal Facebook Profile. No Facebook Pages will be accepted.
Once we receive your Directory Listing request, we will endeavour to display your information as soon as possible.
If you sell or close down your business, it is your responsibility to notify VANNZ to remove or update your listing. No refunds will be given.
Members agree to conduct themselves in a way that is respectful to other Members and no subject to derogatory treatment.
We reserve the right to;
Remove your information at any time, if your website or social media accounts become inactive (no refunds will be given);
Amend your listing for grammar and spelling corrections;
Change the amount of information and format of each listing at any level at any time and without prior notice (no refunds will be given); and
Refuse or cancel memberships of Members who are in breach of these Terms & Conditions or are deemed to be unsuitable to be a Member (no refunds will be given).
Examples of why members will be refused and/or removed from the Facebook Groups and VANNZ Membership;
If you create your own VA membership/directory in direct competition to the VANNZ.
If you are a VA Agency owner whose team is made up of primarily overseas based Virtual Assistants.
If you plagiarise any of the content shared in the VANNZ Facebook Groups, VANNZ website, or other online content deemed to be in violation of intellectual property rights.
If you display behavior not befitting a member of the VANNZ community.
You may join the Facebook Groups if you:
Are 18 years old or over;
Live in New Zealand, or are a Ex-Pat New Zealanders (currently living overseas);
Are legally entitled to work in New Zealand;
Are practising as a freelance Virtual Assistant or Virtual Assistant Agency or other Virtual Business Support Service Provider; or
Are in the process of setting up your own freelance Virtual Assistant business.

You may become a Bronze Member if you:
Are 18 years old or over;
Live in New Zealand, or are a Ex-Pat New Zealanders (currently living overseas);
Are practising as a freelance Virtual Assistant, a representative of a Virtual Assistant Agency, or another type of Virtual Business Support Service Provider;
Are legally entitled to work in New Zealand; and
A personal LinkedIn account is recommended (although not a requirement).
Only one directory listing per Member/VA business is allowed.

You may become a Silver Member if you:
Are 18 years old or over;
Live in New Zealand, or are a Ex-Pat New Zealanders (currently living overseas);
Are practising as a freelance Virtual Assistant, a representative of a Virtual Assistant Agency, or another type of Virtual Business Support Service Provider;
Are legally entitled to work in New Zealand; and
Have a customer base through an active website OR established social media account/s.
Only one directory listing per Member/VA business is allowed.

You may become a Gold Member if you:
Are 18 years old or over;
Live in New Zealand, or are a Ex-Pat New Zealanders (currently living overseas);
Are practising as a freelance Virtual Assistant, a representative of a Virtual Assistant Agency, or another type of Virtual Business Support Service Provider;
Are legally entitled to work in New Zealand;
Have been in business for at least 12+ months;
Have an active website for customers;
Are registered as a LTD company or Sole Trader; and
Have completed the Verification process which includes, but is not limited to, filling out a detailed application form, interviewing with us and providing us with at least 2 current clients who can verify your work ethic/quality of service.
Only one directory listing per Member/VA business is allowed.

Gold VANNZ Member
Bronze and Silver Members have the option to ‘upsize’ their directory membership in order to become a ‘Gold (Verified) Member’ at an additional cost of $260.00 (+GST) per/annum.
Gold VANNZ Members will;
Receive a ‘Verified‘ badge to be displayed on their website, social media and other promotional platforms;
Appear as a ‘featured’ listed Member on the Directory;
Receive additional service tags on their directory listing;
Be eligible to be part of our VA Matchmaking Service;
Be able to submit articles for publishing on our website;
Be allowed to advertise for contractors and employers to join their team;
Be eligible to run Regional in-person ‘Meet Ups’; and
Be eligible to run ‘Ask Me Anything’ sessions in the Facebook Group.
Be eligible to enter the NZ VA Awards.
Invited to join the Paid FB Group.
Badges featured on Member’s websites will be linked back to the VANNZ’s website.
Bronze Members are required to pay the full amount of $260.00 (+GST) per annum.
Silver Members only have to pay the difference between what’s remaining of their current membership and the cost of a Gold Membership.
We reserve the right to decline ‘Verified’ membership to any applicant who is deemed unsuitable for any reason. All decisions are final.
NZ Virtual Assistant Awards
Bronze, Silver and Gold Members are eligible to enter the Awards (subject to the criteria of each individual award).
Free Members looking to enter are required to upgrade to a Bronze Membership $30.00 (+GST) per annum.
Published Articles
Articles written and submitted by Gold Members may be published on the website and shared on social media platforms.
Articles must be at least 500 words long and written specifically for the exclusive use of the VANNZ.
We reserve the right to amend your articles/blog posts for grammar, spelling corrections and other editing (including inaccuracies) at the VANNZ’s discretion.
You agree to give us full rights to use the articles, blog posts and other resources you submit for publication on the Website.
Payments
All prices are in New Zealand dollars and are exclusive of GST.
Memberships will roll-over automatically annually unless advised otherwise by the Member in writing to the VANNZ.
Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Membership payments and renewals will be invoiced to you and are payable prior to your listing going live.
Membership payments are to be paid annually and payments are to be made by credit card or via bank transfer to a nominated bank account.
You may cancel your membership by emailing us via the Contact page on the Website. No refunds will be given.
If your membership is revoked due to you breaching the Terms & Conditions of the VANNZ, no refunds will be given.
No refunds will be given if you change your mind after your membership has been processed and your directory listing is live.
No credits will be given if you choose to cancel your annual membership part way through the year.
In the unlikely event of the Website and Directory being shut down, no refunds will be given.
The cost of membership is subject to increase. Members will be notified in writing 30 days prior to any increase taking affect.
The Virtual Assistant Network NZ is GST registered.
Website Availability
We make no guarantee to the availability of the Website.
We reserve the right to remove some or all of the pages on our website without notice at any given time.
Copyright
Directory information remains the property of the Members, however by displaying this information on a public website you are authorising the downloading and use of this information for individual use of the site visitor. You acknowledge that there are no copyright breaches occurring as a result of displaying your information, or part thereof, on this site and you will be liable for any actions taken against us as a result of any breach of copyright for information or images you have supplied.

Disclaimer
VANNZ does not guarantee the outcome of any advice given by any Member, and you use the advice given by Members at your own risk. VANNZ disclaims all liability and responsibility from any reliance you place on the advice given by a member.
VANNZ does not accept liability for the accuracy and validity of the contents published in articles and posts published by Members.
Amending these Terms & Conditions
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at our discretion.
These Terms and Conditions were last updated in June 2021.
